Recipe for Garlic Prawn Pasta
Ingredients
- 200 g spaghetti
- 45 g butter
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 4 garlic cloves, sliced
- 1 tsp dried red chilli flakes
- 1 tbsp lemon zest, shredded
- 12 large raw prawns, peeled, cleaned and halved
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- small handful flat-leaf parsley leaves, roughly torn
Cooking Directions
Cook the pasta in a large saucepan of boiling salted water for 8–10 minutes or until al dente. Drain and keep warm.
While the pasta is cooking, heat a frying pan over medium-high heat.
Add the butter and oil and cook until the butter has melted. Add the garlic, chilli and zest and cook for 2 minutes.
Add the prawns and cook, stirring, for 3 minutes or until the prawns are tender.
Add the pasta, juice, parsley, plus sea salt and black pepper to the pan and toss to combine. Serve with a simple green salad.
