Recipe for Chipotle Cheesesteaks
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon Vegetable Oil
- 1 pound chicken or beef Steaks
- 2 cups green Pepper and chopped Onion
- 1 1/2 tablespoon Unsalted Butter
- 1 1/2 tablespoon All-Purpose Flour
- 1 cup Milk
- 1/4 teaspoon Freshly Ground Black Pepper
- 3/4 pound Cheddar Cheese, grated
- 1 tablespoon Chopped Chipotle Peppers (jalapeno dried in flame)
- 1 tablespoon Abodo Sauce
- 1 loaf(s) Baguette (French bread), quartered and split
Cooking Directions
Prepare a raw sauce of pepper, oregano, salt and garlic in vinegar. Heat oil over medium heat
Add thinly sliced steaks and pepper-and-onion mixture and cook until heated through, about 5 minutes. Set aside
For cheese sauce, melt butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Add flour, whisking constantly until bubbly, about 1 minute
Slowly whisk in milk until thickened, about 3 minutes
Stir in black pepper, cheese, chipotle peppers (smoke dried jalapeno), and adobo sauce.
Divide steaks and pepper-and-onion mixture among 4 baguette slices (French bread easily available in market)
Top with cheese sauce and remaining 4 bread slices
Serve hot
