Recipe for Spicy Potato Fries

Ingredients

  • 1 kilo Potatoes (aloo) cut into strips
  • Oil for deep frying
  • 3 tbsps chickpeas flour or basin
  • 1 tsp Red Chili Powder
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Cumin seeds dry roasted and crushed
  • 1 tsp Chaat Masala
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder

Cooking Directions

Peel and cut potatoes into equal sized strips and soak into water so that their color could not be changes.

Take a small bowl and mix all dry ingredients of basin (Chickpea flour), red chili powder, salt, garlice powder, chaat masala and dry roasted and crushed cumin seeds.

Heat up the oil in a heavy based pan or karadi.

Drain the potatoes and keep aside to dry a bit.

Sprinkle dry basin mixture over the potatoes and mix well.

Deep fry them and can be served with ketchup.
