Recipe for Homemade & Spicy Baby Samosas

Ingredients

  • For Outer Covering:
  • 1 cup maida
  • Water to knead dough
  • 2tbsp oil
  • Pinch of soda
  • Little salt
  • 1/4th tsp.carom seeds
  • Oil for frying
  • Stuffing:
  • 4-5 mid-sized potatoes (boiled, peeled)
  • 1/2 cup green peas (boiled)
  • 2-3 green chillies (chopped)
  • Chopped mint & Coriander
  • 2 tbsp refined vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • A piece of ginger (finely chopped)
  • 3 Green chillies-finely chopped
  • 1 tsp mango powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • Salt to taste

Cooking Directions

Add all the outer cover ingredients and knead the dough well. Leave it aside.

Make small balls of the dough and heat oil in a pan.

In another bowl, add all the stuffing ingredients and mix well.

Roll the balls flat in circles and with the help of knife slice it into half.

Stuff the potato mixture in one of the half and fold it into triangles. Deep fry the samosa till golden brown.

Tasty samosa are ready. Serve it with sauce or sweet tamarind chutney.
