Recipe for potato cutlets
Ingredients
- 2 medium potatoes, peeled and grated
- 1 small onion chopped fine
- 1 teaspoon of grated ginger
- 1-2 green chillies finely chopped
- a little chopped fresh green coriander
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- a pinch of turmeric powder
- salt to taste
- a little gram flour for binding (besan)
- oil for deep frying
Cooking Directions
Put the oil to heat for deep frying.
Put the grated potatoes in a bowl and mix with all the ingredients except the gram flour.
Add a little gram flour just to bring the mixture together.
Shape into small balls and flatten a bit to make the shape of a small cake.
Deep fry in the oil on medium heat till golden brown .
Drain well and serve with sauce or chutney of your choice.
