Recipe for Lakhshmi Ka Kata Kat

Ingredients

  • Mutton heart 250 gm
  • Mutton kidney 250 gm
  • Mutton liver 250 gm
  • Mutton brain 1
  • Yogurt 2 cups
  • Fresh coriander leaves ½ bunch
  • Ginger garlic paste 2 tbsp
  • Green chili 5 – 6
  • Clarified butter ½ cup
  • Black pepper 1 tsp (crushed)
  • Dry Fenugreek 1 tsp
  • Dry coriander 1 tbsp (roasted and crushed)
  • Cumin seeds 1 tbsp (roasted and crushed)
  • Ginger garlic paste 2 tbsp
  • Ginger water 2 tbsp
  • Red chili 2 tbsp or to taste (crushed)
  • Salt to taste

Cooking Directions

Cut liver, heart and kidney into small cubes. Then soak in ginger water for 10 to 15 minutes.

Wash and keep aside.

Now boil two cups of water with half teaspoon turmeric in a suace pan.

Then add brain and boil for 4 to 5 minutes.

Heat clarified butter on griddle and add ginger garlic paste, kidney, liver, heart and yogurt in it.

Cover and cook for a while.

When heart, kidney and liver are tender, then add cumin, red chilli, black pepper, dry coriander, salt, turmeric and green chilli, cook well.

Then mix in coriander leaves, fenugreek and brain, cook for 2 to 3 minutes.

Dish out and serve hot.
