Recipe for Sindhi Aloo ki Tikki
Ingredients
- 500 gm potatoes, boiled & mashed
- 4 bread slices
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 green chilies, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup fresh coriander leaves, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup fresh mint leaves, finely chopped
- 1 tsp red chili, crushed
- 1 tsp cumin seeds, crushed
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 eggs, lightly beaten
- Oil for frying
Cooking Directions
In a large bowl, add mashed potatoes, chopped coriander, mint leaves, green chilies, garlic and cumin seeds.
Season with salt and red chilli.
Mix well.
Soak 4 slices of bread in cold water and gently squeeze out of the water.
Combine bread slices with mashed potatoes.
Now shape into round kebabs.
Set aside.
In a small bowl, lightly beat eggs.
Add a pinch of salt and red chili powder in it.
Whisk well.
Heat oil in a deep pan over medium heat.
Now dip kebabs in eggs.
Fry kebabs for 5 minutes or until turn golden brown.
