• 1 whole chicken,
• about 5 pounds,
• salt to taste,
• freshly ground black pepper,
• 2 lemons, one thinly sliced and one halved 2 medium onions, peeled and halved 8 cloves garlic peeled,
• 1 bunch fresh rosemary,
• 1 teaspoon olive oil, Preheat the oven to 350°F.

Rinse the chicken inside and out with cold water. Pat dry with paper towels.

Season the cavity of the chicken with salt and pepper and line it with the lemon slices.
