Recipe for Jalebi
Ingredients
- 1 cup curd
- 100 gram of Maida
- 30 gram of Corn flour
- Hot oil 1 table spoon
- 1/2 teaspoon food color
- TO MAKE SUGAR SYRUP:
- Sugar
- Water 1 cup
- Few drops of lemon juice
Cooking Directions
Add 100g Maida in a bowl with 1 cup of curd. Add ½ teaspoon of food color and stir the mixture to make it consistent.
Add hot oil in it top an extent that it has a threaded fall i.e. it is consistent as a sticky paste. Pour this mixture in a zip lock bag. Pre-heat oil in a deep fry pan.
Squeeze the zip bag in a swirling motion to make the paste drop in the hot oil. Cook till it looks crisp.
For preparation of syrup:
Take sugar in a pane and add water in it. Add few drops of lemon juice. Cook it up to the point when the solution is consistent and falls like a single thread. Soak the Jalebi in the syrup for about a minute and take it out to serve.
