Recipe for Pakistani Patties

Ingredients

  • Mince-200gm
  • oil-2tbsp
  • Onion sliced-1
  • Fresh coriander leaves chopped-as required
  • Salt-to taste
  • Red chili powder-1tsp
  • Turmeric powder-1/2 tsp
  • All spices powder (garam masala)-1/2 tsp
  • Cumin powder-1/2tsp
  • Egg beaten-1
  • Puff pastry-as required

Cooking Directions

Heat 2 tbsp of oil in a pan and then in the pan add sliced onion and fry it till it becomes soft.

Then add mince and also fry it, till all the water is absorbed from the mince and it should be dry.

Sprinkle some fresh coriander leaves, salt, red chili powder, turmeric powder, garam masala powder and cumin powder and mix it and then pour little quantity of water and cover it with lid and let it cook till it is done.

Take puff dough and make it flat by rolling the dough and then cut into square pieces and keep at one side.

Beat the egg and put half of the mixture into mince mixture (do not cook the beaten egg), and other half apply the beaten egg on the edges and also at the top of puff pastry.

Take a square piece of puff pastry and put little mince mixture on one side and cover it then from the other side seal the edge with beaten egg, fold it in triangle shape like samosa.

Grease the oven tray with oil and put the patties on it, and also apply the remaining egg mixture on it.

Preheat the oven at 250 degrees and grease the baking tray with oil, keep the tray in it and bake the patties for 10-15 minutes it should be golden brown.
