Jab se tu mujh ko hai chorr kar gaya. .
Ye dil ka hansta hua sheher bayabaa’n ho gaya. .

Meri aarzoo mein teri aarzoo thi jaan. .
Tery baad mein bolta hua be-zuban ho gaya. .

Pehly darta tha mein maut se subha-o-shaam. .
Magar tery baad mujhy marna aasaan ho gaya. .

Tery baad to ye saara sheher veeran tha. .
Mein samjha tha k sirf mera nuqsaan ho gaya. .

Ye batao k aisi bhi kia ghalti ki thi ‘Gul’ ne. ..
K tu hum se youn achnak anjaan ho gaya. . !
