Recipe for Pulao With Mince and Peas
Ingredients
- Peas 2 cups
- Mince meat ½ kg
- Rice 2 ½ cups (soaked)
- Green cardamoms 4
- Whole black peppers 4
- Cloves 4
- Lemons 4
- Sliced onions 2
- Green chilies 6
- Oil 1 cup
- Yogurt ½ cup
- Black cumin 1 tsp
- White cumin 1 tsp
- Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
- Salt to taste
- For stock:
- Onion 1
- Whole hot spices as required
- Ginger 1 small piece of
- Garlic 1 bulb
- Fennel seeds 1 tsp
- Whole coriander 2 tbsp
- Salt to taste
Cooking Directions
In a cooking pot, heat oil and fry onions until they turn golden brown.
Take out half of the fried onion on an absorbent sheet.
Then add yogurt, salt, ginger garlic paste, cardamoms, cloves, whole black peppers, peas, mince meat and green chilies and stir fry.
In a separate cooking pot, add fennel seeds, whole coriander, onion, whole hot spices, bulb of unpeeled garlic, a small piece of ginger, salt and cook for 15 min to prepare stock.
Add stock to the mince meat cooking pot and allow boiling.
When stock comes to a boil, add soaked rice, green chilies and stir together.
Put the lid on and allow simmering.
When pot is filled with steam, your Pulao with Mince Meat and Peas is ready to serve.
Serve with yogurt dip and kachomar.
