Recipe for Peshawari Murgh Masala
Ingredients
- Boneless chicken 500 grams
- Small sized onion 1
- Tomato 4
- Green chilies 4-5
- Ginger garlic paste 2 tbsp
- Black cardamom 1
- Cinnamo 1 piece
- Whole cumin ½ tsp
- Cloves 2
- Tomato paste 1 tbsp
- Salt 1 tsp
- Red chili powder 1 tsp
- Turmeric ½ tsp
- Tara garam masala 1 tsp
- Fenugreek seeds 2 tsp
- Green coriander 2 tbsp
- Oil ½ cup
Cooking Directions
Heat oil in a pan, saute 1 small sized onion, 1 black cardamom and 1 cinnamon.
Now add 500 grams of chicken and allow cooking until light brown.
Then add 2 tbsp garlic ginger paste, 4 tomatoes,1/2 tsp whole cumin, 2 cloves ,6-8 whole black pepper corns, 1 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp turmeric powder, 1 tsp crushed red chili, 1 tsp of tara garam masala , 1 tbsp tomato paste and green chilies.
When gravy leaves oil then add 2 tsp of fenugreek seeds and keep on simmer for 2-3 min.
Garnish with green coriander and serve.
