Recipe for Lahori Chargha Biryani
Ingredients
- Chicken 1
- Curd 1 cup
- Lemon 3
- Cooked cumin 1 tsp
- Black pepper 1 tsp
- Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
- Red chili 1 tbsp
- chargha masala 3 tbsp
- Salt as required
- Rice ingredients:
- Rice 2-1/2 cup
- Oil 1 cup
- Fresh milk 1 cup
- Finely chopped onion 3
- Green chilies 4
- garam masala pinch
- Yellow food color pinch
- Min t½ bunches
- Salt to taste
Cooking Directions
Soak 250 gm gram lentils for 3 hours, drain and wash thrice in fresh water, put in a pan with 1 tsp salt, 1 tsp chili powder and ½ tsp turmeric.
Cover and cook for 30 minutes.
In another pan heat ½ cup ghee, fry 1 chopped onion till golden brown in color, now add 2 chopped tomatoes and fry till soft, then add 1 tsp garlic paste, ½ tsp crushed red pepper and pour on top of the daal.
Stir fry till oil comes on top, lastly put 2 tbsp achar masala and garnish with 2 chopped green chilies and serve hot.
