Recipe for Apple Strudel
Ingredients
- Puff pastry ½ kg
- Egg 1
- Apple (cut into cubes) 3 – 4
- Sugar 125 gm
- Lemon juice 2 tbsp
- Raisin 125 gm
- Cinnamon powder ½ tsp
- Icing sugar as required
- Peach ½ tin
- Flour as required
Cooking Directions
Roll ½ kg puff pastry with a little flour. Cut into squares and keep aside.
Peel and chop 3 – 4 apples and keep in a bowl.
Mix chopped apple with sugar, lemon juice, soaked raisins, cinnamon powder and chopped peaches. Mix well.
Spread 1 piece of puff pastry with little mixture, brush edges with beaten egg, cover with another squares of the puff pastry of same size. Press the edges well.
Brush top with beaten egg, now bake in a preheated oven on 170 degrees for 20 – 25 minutes.
Now remove from oven, cut into slices, sprinkle with icing sugar and serve hot.
