Recipe for Paithay Ka Halwa
Ingredients
- Petha 1-1/2kg
- Khoya 750g
- Sugar 500g
- Ghee 250g
- Green cardamoms 10
- Melon seeds as required
Cooking Directions
Grate the petha and cook in a deep skillet for 15 minutes. Do not add water.
Pulse the petha in a food processor. In a separate pan add2 50g ghee , 10 cardamoms, 500g sugar and the petha paste.
Cook until the halwa reduces into a deep amber and glossy mixture.
Spoon into a serving dish. Garnish with crumbled khoya and serve hot.
