Recipe for Chicken Nan Pockets
Ingredients
- Pita bread 4
- Chicken ½ kg (boneless, cut into julians)
- Yogurt 4 tbsp
- Allspice 1 tsp
- Salt 1 tsp
- Chili powder 1 tsp
- Coriander leaves 2 tbsp (chopped)
- Green chilies 2 (chopped)
- Lemon juice 3 tbsp
- Oil 2 to 3 tbsp
- Onion rings as required
- Tomato 1 (cut into cubes)
- Cabbage 1 cup (julians)
- Prepared green chatni ½ cup
- Lemon wedges for garnishing
- Salad leaves for garnishing
Cooking Directions
Marinate chicken with yogurt, allspice, salt, chili powder, coriander leaves, green chilies and lemon juice for 30 minutes.
Heat oil add marinated chicken, pan fry till done and remove from heat.
Fill each pita bread with chicken, vegetables and green chatni, turn into half.
Serve garnished with lemon wedges and salad leaves.
