Recipe for Dry Fruit Tarts
Ingredients
- Egg yolk 1
- Butter 112 gram
- Refined flour 168 grams
- Caster sugar 56 grams
- Vanilla essence few drops Ingredients for filling
- Eggs 2
- Pistachios (chopped) 1tbsp
- Walnut (chopped) 1tbsp
- Cinnamon ¼ tsp
- Raisins 2 tbsp
- Orange rind (grated) 2tbsp
- Almonds (cut) 2tbsp
- Glazed red cherries 2tbsp
- Glazed Green cherries 2tbsp
- Salinas 2tbsp
- Jam 3 tbsp
Cooking Directions
Beat butter. Sugar and vanilla essence in a bowl till frothy.
Add egg yolk and beat.
Fold in refined flour.
Knead into soft dough; roll out.
With the help of a cutter cut into a rounds and place on a muffin tray.
Mix raisins, orange rind, walnuts, red and green cherries sultanas, pistachios, cinnamon, almonds and eggs in a bowl.
Put 1tsp of mixture on each tart. Bake in pre-heated oven at 108 C for 20 minutes.
Apply jam on sides of each tart; garnish with pistachios and serve
