Recipe for Arabic Mince And Potato Pie
Ingredients
- Boiled Potatoes 4
- Carrot grated 2
- Cabbage (chopped)1
- Capsicum 2
- Tomato puree 4 tbsp
- Chili sauce 2 tbsp
- Salt to taste
- Mushroom 1 can
- Chicken mince ½ kg
- Ginger garlic paste1 tsp
- Black pepper 1 tsp
- Red chili flakes 1 tbsp
- Carom seeds 1tsp
- For White sauce:
- Fresh Milk1 liter
- Butter 1 tbsp
- Flour 3 tbsp
- Cheddar Cheese 1 packet
- Olive Oil 3 tbsp
Cooking Directions
Mix 1 tbsp red chili flakes and 1 tsp carom seeds and roast them. Heat 3 tbsp oil in a wok and add in 1 tsp ginger garlic paste and salt. Cook it and add in ½ kg mince.
When the water start drying add in boiled mashed potatoes, then add in 2 grated carrots, 1 chopped cabbage,2 chopped capsicum, 1 tsp black pepper, 4 tbsp tomato puree and 2 tbsp 2 tbsp chili sauce. Add in 1 can of mushrooms.
Take 1 tbsp butter in the wok and sauté 3 tbsp flour in it and close the flame.
After 5-10 minutes add 1 liter milk gradually and keep on stirring with the wooden spoon until the sauce is thick. Add some salt and black pepper.
Mean while pre heat the oven. Grease a dish and spread the white sauce and then spread mince and vegetables on it.
Sprinkle red chili powder and carom seeds. In the end add in white sauce and cheddar cheese.
Bake it for 10-15 minutes. Arabic Mince and potato pie is ready to serve.
