Recipe for Malai Toast
Ingredients
- 2 slices of firm bread- White is preffered
- 2 tbsp of ghee (Verka preffered)- use butter if you like
- 2 cups of milk
- 2 tbsp of sugar
- 1 tbsp of cardamom powder
- 1-2 tbsp of almonds- sliced
- 1-2 tbsp of pista- sliced
Cooking Directions
Cut the four sides of bread and toast it by applying butter on sides and baking it on a toaster or pan and set it aside
Now lets make the malai, take a big bowl with water on sides- Like put it once under drain but don’t wipe the water
Lit the stove and add milk to it
Add sugar and let the milk boil for approximately 20 minutes-
Almost till the milk is half to its original quantity To this add cardamom powder
Add few of almonds and pistachio slices as well. Keep few aside for garnishing at the end Constantly stir the milk to not let it stick on sides
Then Once the milk is creamy shut down the stove
Let it cool in natural temperature
Preparing the Malai Toast: Do this while you are ready to serve Take a serving platter and place the breads as in picture Pour the malai on it
Garnish with almonds, pistachio and even you can add saffron on top if you have
