Recipe for Onion Parantha
Ingredients
- dough:
- 2 cup Wheat flour
- 1/4 tbsp salt
- 1/2 cup chilled water (Use small cup)
- Method to prepare Dough:
- Mix the flour and salt.
- Add the chilled water slowly, mixing with your fingers as you pour.
- Make sure that dough is neither too hard and nor too soft.
- Ingredients for Filling:
- 1 bowl finely chopped onions
- 1/2 cup Gram Flour (Besan)
- 2 tbsp oil
- salt to taste
- 1/4 chilli powder
Cooking Directions
prepare filling:
Take Gram flour in a bowl and add oil,onions,salt and chilli powder and mix it well.
Make sure that it’s a solid paste not liquid.Method to prepare Paranthas:
Take the dough and knead it for a few minutes.Divide the dough in 4-5 equal parts.
Take one part of the dough and with your fingers and mold the dough into a cup shape and place 1 tbsp of filling in the center.
Pull the edges of the dough together to wrap the filling.
Repeat with the rest.
Then start rolling each of these into even round shape like a roti.
Take a flat pan and add the cooking spray.
Put the flat paratha on top of it, and the fry it on both sides with oil.Serve it masala tea or raita, pickle, butter etc.
