Recipe for Potato fritters
Ingredients
- For Stuffing:
- 2-3 boiled potatoes- peeled and mashed
- Salt to taste
- Ginger-garlic paste(optional)
- Lemon juice to taste
- Green chilies- 2 finely chopped
- Cilantro-coriander- finely chopped-1/2 cup
- Sugar to taste (optional)
- For batter:
- 3-4 spoons of gram flour (besan)
- Water
- Salt to taste
- Red chili powder-1 tbsp.
- Turmeric powder- ½ tbsp.
- Oil for frying
Cooking Directions
For Stuffing:
Take the mashed boiled potatoes and make sure there are no lumps in it Then add ginger garlic paste, salt
Add chilies-coriander-lemon juice
Mix this content well for few minutes with your hands so that the taste evenly spreadsForm small ½ inch sized balls from this mixture
For Coating:
Mix the gram flour, salt, red chili powder, turmeric together
And start adding water to this till it becomes thin
Mix it well to make sure there are no lumps of gram flour.
Set it aside for 10-20 min
For Frying:
Take a deep pan and fill it with oil Lit the stove and let the temperature of oil rise Start dipping the potato balls in your batter of coating
Coat potatoes well with gram flour batter, and start putting them in hot oil for frying.
Fry them on medium-high flame and flip around when golden brown
