Recipe for Mushroom Cheese Paratha

Ingredients

  • Mushrooms- 6 (chopped)
  • Onion (small)- 1 (chopped)
  • Cheese- 10 grams (grated)
  • Pepper (freshly ground)- 1/2 tsp
  • Atta or coarse flour- 2 cups
  • Oil- 1tbsp
  • Ghee- 1tbsp
  • Salt- as per taste

Cooking Directions

Knead a dough with 2 cups of flour and 1/2 a cup of water. Cover with a wet cloth and keep it aside. Take a shallow pan and heat oil in it. Add the onions and saute for 5 minutes on a low flame.

Then add mushroom and sprinkle salt. Mix it up and cook for 5-6 minutes more on low flame.

Finally add grated cheese and sprinkle pepper from the top.
Stir the mixture and cook for 2 minutes on a low flame.
Now allow the filling to cool.

Make fist sized balls out of the dough. Use your thumb to dig a hole into each of the dough balls.

Stuff 1tbsp of filling into each of the dough balls and seal it with your fingers.

Roll out the dough balls into round parathas.Now use some ghee to fry the parathas on a flat pan.Fry both sides of the paratha until it turns brown.
