Recipe for Spicy pea potato curry
Ingredients
- Potatoes-4(each cut into 4 halves)
- Pea seeds(matar)-2cup
- onion paste-1 cup
- garlic paste-2tsp,ginger paste -2 tsp
- Tomato paste-2cup
- Green chilly paste-2tsp
- chopped coriander-1/2 cup
- Spices:
- Asafetida-1/2pinch ,cumin seeds-2tsp
- Kasoori methi(dried fenugreek leaves)-2 tsp
- Turmeric powder-1 tsp,coriander powder-2tsp
- Red chilly powder-1 tsp,Salt to taste
- Gram masala powder-1 tsp
- Refined oil or any oil-3tbsp
Cooking Directions
Heat oil in a cooker and add asafetida,cumin seeds and kasori methi.As they start crackling, add onion paste and sauté till golden brown color appears.
Now add,ginger ,garlic paste, stir and add potato cubes.Stir again by adding all spices and salt except garam masala.
To this add tomato and green chilly paste and stir then add peas and stir till oil comes out.
dd two glass of water and cover lid,cook for two whistles.
Open lid and cook for next 10 minutes.Garnish with chopped coriander and garam n masala powder.
Serve with rice and roti.
