Recipe for Jeera Aloo
Ingredients
- 2 potato cut in cubes
- 1 chopped green chilly
- 2 teaspoon grated ginger
- 1/2 pinch asefetida
- 1 teaspoon dried fenugreek leaves
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- Spices:
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
- 1/2 teaspoon deggi mirch
- 1/2 teaspoon dried mango powder
- 1/2 teaspoon pomegranate seeds powder(anardana)
- Salt to taste
- 2 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon olive oil
Cooking Directions
Heat oil in a wok , add asefetida ,fenugreek leaves and cumin seeds.
Saute for 1 minute and add ginger and green chillies.Stir and add potato cubes.Mix well.
Cover the lid and let it cook for 10-15 minutes till potatoes are tender.Frequent stirring is required in between.
Add all spices and salt , mix and cook for 5 minutes.
Transfer to serving bowl , pour olive oil before serving.
Serve with Poori,Rice,Paratha ,Chapati or Bread.
