Recipe for Sprouted Moong Bean Chaat
Ingredients
- Moong dal (Whole green gram)-150 gm
- Salt- a pinch
- Turmeric powder- a pinch
- Vegetables:
- Onion (finely chopped)-1 no’s
- Tomato (finely chopped)-2 no’s
- Green chilly (finely chopped)-1 no’s
- Boiled Potato (finely chopped)-1 no’s
- Coriander leaves (finely chopped)-a handful
- Spices:
- Roasted cumin seeds powder-2 tsp
- Chaat masala-2 tsp
- Deggi mirch powder-1 tsp
- Dried mango powder-1 tsp
- Salt to taste
- Rock salt-1/2 tsp
Cooking Directions
For making sprouts
Soak green gram in 2 cup water for overnight.Next day drain water from grams and take all these gram in a wet cloth by folding all corners and tie a knot.
Hang this bag with the help of clip for one day.Take the sprouts so formed out from the bag and use.
Boil water with a pinch of salt and turmeric powder in a vessel and add sprouted
Moong in it.Blanch for 10 minutes and drain excess water.(Keep an eye, just make them a little tender , or else the taste will be spoiled ).
Take sprouts in a bowl add chopped vegetables. Add all spices and salt.Squeeze juice of 1 lemon.Toss well.
Arrange in serving bowl and enjoy.
