Recipe for Pecan And Chocolate Fudge Ring
Ingredients
- For Fudge Sauce:
- Butter 3 tbsp
- Light brown sugar 3 tbsp
- Light corn syrup 4 tbsp
- Milk 2 tbsp
- Unsweetened cocoa 1 tbsp
- Dark chocolate 1, 1/2 ounces
- Pecans(chopped) 1/2 cup
- For Cake:
- Soft margarine 1/2 cup
- Light brown sugar 7 tbsp
- Self rising flour 1 cup
- Eggs 2
- Milk 2 tbsp
- Light corn syrup 1 tbsp
Cooking Directions
Lightly grease an 8 inch ring pan. To make the fudge sauce, place the butter, sugar, syrup, milk and unsweetened cocoa in a small pan and heat gently, stirring until combined.
Break the chocolate into pieces, add to the mixture, and stir until melted.
Stir in the chopped nuts. Pour into the base of the pan and set aside to cool.
To make the cake, place all the ingredients in a mixing bowl and beat until smooth.
Carefully spoon the cake mixture over the chocolate fudge sauce.
Bake in a preheated oven at 350F for 35 minutes, or until the cake is cooked through and springy to the touch.
Cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then turn out on to serving dish and serve.
