• 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
• 1 medium onion, chopped
• 3 cans (6 ounces each) tomato paste
• 1 can (15 ounces) tomato sauce
• 1/2 cup sugar
• 1 tablespoon anise seed
• 1 tablespoon sweet basil
• 3 bay leaves
• 1 teaspoon garlic powder
• 1 teaspoon nutmeg
• 1 tablespoon salt
• 1/2 teaspoon pepper
• 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

Brown beef with onion and drain.

Add tomato paste and sauce. Add seasonings.

Dilute with 2 cans (15 ounces) water.

Put in crock pot and cook on low the longer the better.

Serve over cooked spaghetti.
