Recipe for Cabbage Pakoras
Ingredients
- Medium sized cabbage 1
- Gram flour 1 cup
- Salt to taste
- Grind:
- Gram flour 10 tbsps
- Green chillies 2
- Ginger 1" piece
- Cloves of garlic 2
- Ajwain 1/4 tsp
- Salt 2 tsps
- Mango powder 1 tbsps
- Sugar 1 tsp
Cooking Directions
Mix the ground paste with a little water to form a thick paste. Separate the cabbage leaves.
Arrange one leaf over the other applying the paste in between them.
Put six leaves each time. Roll them up like a swiss roll.
Tie each roll tightly with thread applying the besan paste on the outer most leaf also.
Now steam the rolls for 1/2 an hour. Cool. Remove the thread.
Cut into round slices and dip in a batter made from gram flour, salt and water and deep fry.
