Recipe for Valentine Chocolate Heart Cake
Ingredients
- Flour – 175gm
- Eggs – 3
- Vanilla essence – 1 tsp
- Ground sugar – 140gm
- Baking powder – 2 tsp
- Butter – 150gm
- Coco powder – 60gm
- Cream – 150gm
- Salt – 1 pinch
- ::::::For Icing::::
- Cooking chocolate – 375gm
- Strawberry jam – 5 tbsp
- Strawberries – 1 box
- Lemon juice – 1 tsp
- Red food colour – few drops
- Cream – 200gm
Cooking Directions
In a bowl put butter and sugar, beat with electric beater until it becomes cream.
Take another bowl and strain flour, coco powder, salt and baking powder. Now add eggs one by one and beat well.
Then add vanilla essence and cream and beat. Now add dry mixture and mix with hand or spatula.
Transfer this mixture in 8” heart shape greased cake pan and bake in Pre heated oven on 180ºC, 350ºF and Gas Mark 4 for 35 minutes. When it’s done, let it cool down. Cut in 2 parts, apply filling and decorate with icing.
For Icing:
Make a mixture with chocolate and cream on double boiler. In another bowl, add jam, food colour and lemon juice, mix well.
Now apply jam mixture on cake layer, then apply melted chocolate, then sliced strawberries, then place 2nd layer of cake and then apply chocolate mixture all around the cake and decorate with strawberry and serve.
