Recipe for Beef Barbecue Sandwiches
Ingredients
- 4 Beef fillet
- 1 tbsp White vinegar
- 1/2 tbsp Ginger garlic paste
- 1 tbsp Chili sauce
- 1/2tsp Black pepper
- 4 Bun
- 1/2 Iceberg lettuce
- 3 tbsp Blue Band Margarine
- as required Oil
- to taste Salt
- Ingredients For SAUCE
- 2 tbsp. butter
- 1 chopped onion
- 1/2 c. water
- 1 catsup
- 1/2 cider vinegar
- 1/2 sugar
- 1 tbsp. plus 1 tsp. Worcestershire
- 1 tbsp. brown sugar
- 2 tsp. celery salt
- 2 tsp. paprika
- 1/2 tsp. ground cumin
- 1/2 tsp. black pepper
- 1/2 tsp. salt
Cooking Directions
Method
Flatten the beef fillets with the flat end of a knife.
Marinate them for half an hour with salt, ginger garlic paste and vinegar.
Add chili sauce and sprinkle black pepper on the beef fillets.
Grease a grill pan and heat on a medium flame. Grill the fillets from both the sides until tender.
Slice the buns into two halves. Spread Blue Band margarine onto one half and place the fillet on top. Place a lettuce leaf and cover the bun with the other half.
Serve this delicious barbeque sandwich broth for another use.
Method(SAUCE)
In large saucepan, saute onion and butter until onion is transparent.
Add remaining ingredients and mix well. Add shredded meats, simmer over low heat until mixture is thick and juice, about 15 minutes.
Do NOT stir too often – meat should stay in good size pieces. Serve hot on buns.
