Recipe for Lemon Rice
Ingredients
- 2 cup Basmati Rice
- 1 tsp Channa Dal
- 1 tsp Urad Dal
- 1/4 tsp Asafoetida (heeng)
- 1/4 tsp Mustard Seeds
- 1/4 tsp Turmeric Powder
- 2 tsp Ghee
- 2 Lemons (juice)
- Salt, to taste
Cooking Directions
Wash and clean the rice thoroughly Boil it in 1/4 litre water. till done Heat the Ghee in a separate shallow pan
Add mustard seeds, channa dal, Urad dal, asafoetida and turmeric powder to it
Fry lightly till it emits fragrance Mix well with cooked rice for flavor
Add salt to the lemon juice and pour it over rice and mix well Serve hot
