Recipe for Shahjahani Khichdi
Ingredients
- 2 tbsps onion brown
- 1 tbsp Ginger Garlic Paste
- to taste Salt
- 1 tsp Turmeric
- 1/2 cup Milk
- 1 cup yellow lentils
- 1/2 cup Oil
- 500 grams Rice
- 1 tsp Cumin (seeds)
- 4 tbsps mint leaves chopped
- 3 tbsps coriander chopped
- Cardamom powder a pinch
- 1 tbsp Red Chili Powder
- 1 tbsp Ginger Garlic Paste
- 1 tbsp All Spice
- 1/2 cup Oil
- 1 cup Yogurt
- 4 Green chili (chopped)
- 3 Onion (chopped)
- 1/2 kilo Mince meat
Cooking Directions
Heat oil in a pan and fry onions in it till brown
Add mince, ginger garlic paste, salt, chili powder, cumin, all spices and cardamom. Stir for 1mins
Add yogurt and cover it, cook till mince tender
Add mint leaves, coriander leaves and green chilies
Heat oil in another pan, add brown onion, ginger garlic paste, soaked rice and lentil
Fry till light brown
Add turmeric, all spices, salt and 1 1/2 cup of water.
Cover and cook till done
Spread rice mixture over mince
Add milk and fried onions on top
Mix well and remove from heat
