Recipe for SHAHI TUKRAY
Ingredients
- 4-6 Bread slices
- 3 cups Milk
- 3-4 Green cardamom
- 8 tbsps Sugar
- 8-10 Almonds
- a pinch Saffron
- 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
- 1 1/2 cups oil
Cooking Directions
Take 4-6 bread slices and cut them diagonally into triangles. Fry them in oil till they are crisp and golden brown.
Set them aside on absorbent paper to remove excess oil.
Put the milk in a pan.
Bring it to a boil reduce flame and let it simmer for 10 minutes.
Add sugar and condensed milk to it. Add crushed green cardamom and roughly chopped almonds as well.
When the milk thickens a bit, remove it from heat.
Arrange the fried triangle bread slices in a dish and pour the milk on top.
Sprinkle some almonds and a pinch of saffron for garnish. Can be served hot or chilled.
