Recipe for DATE BURFI
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup Pitted dates
- 8 Cashewnuts chopped
- 1/2 cup Dried Figs
- 6 Pistachios chopped
- 15 Almonds chopped
- 1/4 cup Clarified Butter
Cooking Directions
Soak dried figs in two cups of water for one hour.
Drain and grind it into puree. Grind dates into puree using little water.
Heat clarified butter in a pan, add both purees and cook on medium heat stirring continuously until all excess moisture is dried up. Add nuts and mix well.
Cook further till the mixture leaves sides of the pan.
Spread the mixture on a greased tray
When it cools cut into cubes Serve.
