Recipe for TAMARIND PICKLE
Ingredients
- 300 grams tamarind pods
- 200 grams Green chili (chopped)
- 200 grams Garlic
- 200 grams Ginger
- 1 cup Sugar
- 20 grams Cumin (seeds)
- 1 tbsp Tumeric powder
- 2 tbsps Salt
- 2 cups Vinegar
- 1/2 cup Oil
Cooking Directions
Wash and soak tamarind in vinegar for 40mins, Extract the pulp and keep aside
Grind garlic, ginger, cumin, salt and sugar in vinegar. Make a smooth paste
Heat oil and fry the paste for few mins. Add tamarind and chilies
Stirring constantly. Cook until mixture thickens
Cool and put it in jar
