Recipe for Mince Karahi

Ingredients

  • Mince mutton 1/2 kg
  • Kidneys 4
  • Onions (sliced) 2
  • Tomatoes 2
  • Garlic (chopped) 8 cloves
  • Ginger (chopped) 1, 1/2" piece
  • Green chillies (chopped) 10
  • Coriander leaves (chopped) 1/2 bunch
  • Coriander seeds 1 tsp
  • Whole black pepper 12
  • Cloves 5
  • Cinnamon 1 medium piece
  • White cumin seeds 1 tsp
  • Whole red chillies 7
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil 1/2 cup

Cooking Directions

Cut the kidneys into thin pieces.

Heat oil in a wok and fry onions till they turn golden.

Add ginger, garlic, coriander seeds, whole black pepper, cloves, cinnamon, mince and kidneys.

Cook for 7-8 minutes.

Put 1/2 cup water in the mince and cover and cook on low flame.

When the water dries up, add tomatoes, salt and white pepper. Fry well.

When oil appears on the surface, add green chillies, salt and white cumin seeds and turn off the flame.

Delicious Mince Karahi is ready to be served.
