Recipe for Malted Chocolate Wedges
Ingredients
- Butter 7 tbsp
- Light corn syrup 2 tbsp
- Malted chocolate drink 2 tbsp
- Malted milk cookies 8 ounces
- Milk chocolate(broken into pieces) 2, 3/4 ounces
- Confectioners sugar 2 tbsp
- Milk 2 tbsp.
Cooking Directions
Grease a shallow 7 inch round cake pan or flan pan and line the base.
Place the butter, light corn syrup, and malted chocolate drink in a small pan and heat gently, stirring all the time until the butter has melted and the mixture is well combined.
Crush the cookies in a plastic bag with a rolling pin, or process until they form crumbs.
Stir the crumbs into the chocolate mixture and mix well.
Press the mixture into the prepared pan and chill in the refrigerator until firm.
Heat the chocolate pieces in a double boiler with the confectioners sugar and the milk.
Stir until the chocolate melts and the mixture is thoroughly combined.
Spread the chocolate frosting over the cookie base and allow to set in the pan.
Using a sharp knife, cut in wedges to serve.
