Recipe for Handi Murgh Ginger
Ingredients
- 1 kg chicken, cut into 16 pieces
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 1/2 cup cooking oil
- 4 chopped tomatoes
- 1 tbsp garlic paste
- 2 tbsp chopped ginger
- 1-1/2 tsp red chili powder
- 1/2 tsp all spice
- 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp salt
- For Garnishing:
- 2 tbsp fresh coriander leaves, chopped
- 4 green chilies, chopped
Cooking Directions
Place chicken in a clay pot. Add onion, garlic paste, salt, turmeric powder, red chili, ½ cup water.
Cover and cook on low flame for 15 minutes or until chicken half done.
Now add cooking oil and cook chicken for 5 minutes.
Then add tomatoes and cook for 10 minutes or until oil comes on top.
Sprinkle all spice over it. Remove from the heat.
Garnished with ginger slices, coriander leaves and green chilies.
