Recipe for Masalay Wali Mash(Urad)
Ingredients
- Daal mash – (boiled) 250g
- Tomato – 2 (chopped)
- Turmeric powder – ½ tsp
- Red chilli powder – ½ tsp
- Onion – 1 chopped
- Ginger flaks – ¼ cup
- Ginger paste – 1 tsp
- Garlic paste – 1 tsp
- Green chilli – 4
- Dry fenugreek leaves – 2 tsp
- Black cumin seeds – 1 tsp (ground)
- White cumin seeds – 1 tsp (ground)
- Garam masala powder – 1 tsp
- Black pepper – 1 pinch
- Fresh mint – 1 tbsp chopped
- Fresh coriander – 2 tbsp chopped
- Salt – to taste
- Butter – 2 tbsp
Cooking Directions
Take a pan, put oil and sauté onion. Then put turmeric powder, tomato, green chillies, ginger flaks, red chilli powder and cook until the tomato softens, then put fenugreek leaves, black pepper, black and white cumin seeds, ginger garlic past and fry for 1 minute.
Then put garam masala powder, black pepper, mint and fresh chopped coriander, mix well, then add boiled daal (lentil) and fry for 2 minutes.
Then put salt and cook well. When it’s done, put butter and mix well, put on dum for 5 minutes. Serve with ginger flaks, fresh salad, mint and lemon slices.
