Recipe for Tandoori Chicken

Ingredients

  • Chicken – 1 (cut in 4 pieces)
  • Crushed fried cumin seeds – 1 tbsp
  • Salt – 1 tsp or to taste
  • Red chilli powder – 2 ½ tsp
  • Garlic ginger paste – 2 tbsp
  • Lemon juice – 3 tbsp
  • Turmeric powder – 1 tsp
  • Coriander powder – 1 tbsp
  • Kashmiri chilli or degi mirch – 2 tbsp
  • Yogurt – 1 ½ cup
  • Oil – 6 tbsp
  • Black pepper – ½ tsp
  • Orange food colour – few drops

Cooking Directions

Mix all above ingredients and apply on chicken pieces, leave for 2 hours.

Bake in preheated oven on 190ºC for 35 to 40 minutes.

When its done, give smoke of charcoal. Serve this yummy chicken with mix vegetable salad and Peshawari chutney.
