Recipe for PANEER DAHI KA SABZI

Ingredients

  • Oil or butter 3/4 tsp
  • onions chopped finely 3 medium
  • tomatoes chopped finely 2 large
  • Garlic and green chilli paste 1 tsp
  • Capsicum chopped 1 medium
  • Cashew nut paste 1 tsp
  • Milk cream(malai) 2 tsp
  • fresh paneer cubes 1/2 lb
  • Fresh curd 1 lb
  • Chopped coriander leaves 1/2 cup
  • Cumin seeds 1/2 tsp
  • Red chilli powder 1 tsp
  • Turmeric powder 1 tsp
  • Garam masala powder 1/2 tsp
  • Salt for taste

Cooking Directions

Take a very thin cloth (muslin cloth) and put curd in to it. Tie it and hang it to drip out excess liquid. It should take approximately an hour to drain away all the liquid, but you can hang for more time if required.

Take out the curd and add a pinch of red chilli powder, garam masala, a pinch salt and mix. Keep aside for half an hour

ut paneer into cubes and add into the curd. Marinate for an hour.

Heat oil/butter in a pan. Add cumin seeds. When they start spluttering, add chopped onions and fry until they turn golden-brown

Add chopped tomato, garlic-green chilli paste and stir. Cook on high heat for 10 minutes.

Add chopped capsicum followed by garam masala powder, turmeric powder, red chilli powder and salt. Taste for salt, and add more if required.

Add the hung curd and paneer cubes. Cook for 5 minutes.

Add cashew nut paste and cream, stir well. Cook for 2 minutes and take off from heat.

Garnish with coriander leaves.

Serve hot with paratha or naan or hot rice
