Recipe for Mall Pura
Ingredients
- Milk-10 cup
- Khoya-3.5 tbsp
- Corn flour-5 tsp
- Flour-4 tsp
- For sugar Syrup (sheera)
- Water-1 1/3 cup
- Sugar-2 ½ cup
- Zarda color (food color)- ½ tsp
- Kaywara-1 tsp
- Cardamom-3 to 5
- Ghee-for frying
- For garnishing
- Pistachio (nicely chopped)-4 tsp
Cooking Directions
First of all boil the milk and keep boiling it till the quantity comes to ¼.
Then add khoya in it and lower the flame.
Keep on mixing it till the khoya is nicely mixed.
Put it in a bowl and let it cool down.
Then add flour, corn flour, cardamom powder and mix it nicely and make a batter.
Take a bowl and boil sugar along with water till sugar dissolves, then mix kaywara and zarda color.
Heat ghee in a pan, then put batter in it and cook it from both sides till the sides are golden brown in colour and then take it out and put it in sheera, Â let the maal pura be in sheera for a while.
Then take it out and cut it into pieces and serve.
