The 33rd death anniversary of former prime minister and founding father of PPP Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto is being observed with reverence and passion at Garhi Khuda Baksh today (Wednesday).
Convoys and rallies of the PPP workers from all over the country have reached Garhi Khuda Baksh.
The PPP expects that tens of thousands of party workers and loyalists to the Bhuttos would pay their respect to their leaders at the mausoleum of the Bhuttos.
On the occasion, 6,000 policemen and 1,000 Rangers personnel, women police, traffic police along with bomb disposal squad and commandos have reached Garhi Khuda Bux. Several reception camps have also been established and welcome camps have been set up at Larkana and different roots, corners towards Garhi Khuda Bux and Naudero to accommodate the leaders and workers from all the four provinces, AJK and Gilgit Baltistan.
PPP sources said the occasion would provide an opportunity to the workers to renew commitment to continue Z.A. Bhutto’s mission and uphold the banner of democracy.
