The Interior ministry Thursday decided that the name of the US Defence and Air Attache Colonel Joseph Emanuel Hall would not be placed on Exit Control List (ECL) as he enjoyed diplomatic immunity.
On April 7, the vehicle of Colonel Hall ran a red light and rammed into a motorcycle killing Ateeq Baig on the spot and injuring his cousin. According to reports, the Islamabad High Court had directed the interior ministry to take decision about the ECL. The interior ministry took the decision Interior after taking into account Colonel Hall’s diplomatic immunity.
