During sit-in of PTI in Islamabad last year, Nabil Gabol was all set to join PTI but Tahir ul Qadri suddenly left the scene and cunning Nabil held his horses back to gauge the new situation. He has been in touch with PTI leadership since then and also has met with Imran Khan multiple times. Very timely, Nabil Gabol left PPP as he saw PPP getting confined to one province. He won the elections with the help of MQM, but now he sees that MQM is just a city party and would never grow out of it. Besides, the grip of Altaf Hussain on MQM is slipping as Altaf himself is looking over his shoulder as Scotland Yard draws closer. Nabil Gabol is based out of Karachi, and there are just 3 options in that city; PPP, MQM, and PTI. Nabil has already left PPP and there is no place for him there, besides Nabil doesn’t see any future of PPP even in Karachi let alone at the national level.
MQM, he has just left so the only option remains is the PTI. He in fact has already unofficially joined the PTI last year. That is why he was banned from entering the MQM head quarters in 90. It will be a set back for the MQM as Nabil is going to the PTI camp. Despite of Imran Khan’s ignoring the Karachi, PTI enjoys a massive support in Karachi. Though PTI has lost its aura in Punjab and somewhat in KPK, still in Karachi people look towards them as replacement of MQM and PPP. Nabil has sensed that and that is why has joined PTI. Establishment is also fed up with the violent activities of MQM and corruption of PPP in Karachi and they have expressed their frustration and anger openly. They also approve of Nabil joining PTI and Sheikh Rasheed from Pindi has also coordinated that link between Nabil and angels. So all good and set for Nabil.
