Shubinak is a word taken from Chitrali language “Khowar“. Shubinak means “wrapping of loom” and also “Spider” the nature’s web weaver. Shubinak journey begins in 2005, Chitral and it has reached Lahore in 2011. In this journey the aim of shubinak was not only providing evey one with high quality handmade fabrics, embroidered clothes and bags but the aim was also a continuous income for chitrali people. Today Shubinak is providing work to 500-1000 chitrali women. Shubinak another unique product is hand woven fabric made of original sheep skin called “Shu“.
