Recipe for Parsi Chicken Farcha
Ingredients
- ½ kg chicken drumsticks
- 2 eggs
- Breadcrumbs, as required
- Oil to deep fry
- Green chutney :
- 4 tbsp grated coconut
- 2 cloves garlic
- ½” piece ginger
- 1 bunch coriander leaves, chopped
- ½ bunch mint leaves, chopped
- 8-10 green chillies, chopped
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1 tbsp chopped onions
- juice of 1 lemon
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp sugar
Cooking Directions
Grind the coconut, onions, cumin seeds, green chillies, sugar, mint and coriander leaves, garlic and ginger to a fine paste using a little water.
Add lemon juice and salt.
Put cuts on chicken drumsticks and apply green chutney and marinate atleast 6-8 hours or overnight.
Roll in breadcrumbs, dip in beaten eggs, fry in hot oil till chicken is done and golden.
