Recipe for Shalgam Curry
Ingredients
- Turnips 3/4 kg
- Onions 100 gm
- Tomatoes 100 gm
- Ginger 1" piece
- Green chilies 2
- Cloves of garlic 2
- Salt to taste
- Green coriander leaves as required
- Ghee as required
Cooking Directions
Chop turnips into big pieces.
Boil them in water till soft or pressure cook for 3 minutes.
Fry chopped onions, ginger, green chilies and garlic till golden brown.
Add chopped tomatoes and salt to taste.
Add 1 tsp sugar if desired.
Cook till the gravy is golden in color and add turnips.
Cover and cook till ready.
