Recipe for Potato Burger With Tamarind Chutney
Ingredients
- Boiled potatoes ½ kg
- Tamarind paste 1 cup
- Lukewarm water 1 cup
- Lemon 3
- Green chilies chopped 4
- Buns 4 to 6
- Mint chopped ½ bunch
- Green coriander chopped ½ bunch
- Roasted white cumin powder 1 tsp
- Black pepper crushed 1 tsp
- Mustard powder 1 tbsp
- Red chili crushed 1 tbsp
- Rice flour 3 tbsp
- Oil as required
- Salt to taste
- Tamarind chutney:
- Tamarind paste 1 cup
- Black salt 1 pinch
- Onion sliced 2
- Roasted white cumin powder 1 tsp
- Dry garlic powder 1 tbsp
- Salt to taste
Cooking Directions
First boil ½ kg potato and peel it and mash it with the help of fork.
Then add 3 tbsp rice flour, 2 lemon juice, 1 tbsp mustard seed powder, 1 tsp black pepper crushed, 1 tsp roasted white cumin powder, 4 chopped green chilies, ½ bunch chopped mint, ½ bunch chopped green coriander and salt to taste to mix and grease palm bind them into patties.
Heat little oil on a flat pan and toast all patties.
Now toast 4 to 6 buns and pour 1 tbsp oil on each side of bun slice.
Then place patty on bun with tamarind chutney, tomato slice and onion and serve.
For tamarind chutney:
In 1 cup tamarind paste add 1 tbsp dry garlic powder, 1 tsp roasted white cumin powder, salt to taste and 1 pinch black cumin to mix and serve.
